Disana Organic Merino Wool Nappy Covers

wool nappy cover
A wool nappy cover is one of the best solutions for heavy night time wetters.

Disana wool nappy covers are knit from organic fine merino wool and are a smart investment to use over any night nappy. High rib knit cuffs fit snugly around baby’s waist and legs, and a roomy double knit layer design fits over the RAWr SoakMaster1000 One Size Night Nappy with ease.

Select size and colour from the drop down box (size UP if in doubt).

  • Wool will not overheat baby as it is warming in winter and cooling in summer,
  • Two layers of 100% wool absorb excess urine, once lanolised this makes a breathable nappy cover that protects from night time leaks,
  • Unless soiled, just air out between uses – one cover can be used for two weeks to a month without needing a wash,
  • Organic merino wool is hypoallergenic and soft on baby’s skin, Disana covers are stretchy and unrestrictive to baby’s movements,
  • Available in sizes to fit from small newborn to 4 -5years.

All Disana organic woollen soakers are handwash only (in wool wash) and should be lanolised with each wash, then dried flat in the shade. Disana soakers contain a small amount of natural lanolin in the wool. For heavy night time wetting they may need to be lanolised before first wear (this is easily done using a pea-sized drop of ‘Lansinoh’ pure lanolin dissolved in water or our favourite: Sheepish Grins Lanolin).

Ethically made in Germany by Disana from GOTS Certified 100% Organic Merino Wool.

Disana Organic Wool Nappy Cover

I really love this nappy cover! Once i worked out how to best lanolise this nappy cover and give the wool time to naturally felt in the wet zone it has been fantastic. The cover looks so cute on my little 9 month old boy . Its not only a nappy cover but looks great as a pair of shorts which makes dressing him easy. Having to only wash the cover every 2-4 weeks is great too ! I have a second cover that i alternate with. Saves on so much washing that i was doing with PLU covers. Great product!

Disana Wool cover

Very happy. Find it fits my chubby bub very well. So far it is handling over nights in tropics FNQ paired with a baby beehind overnight fitted Nappy :-)

These covers are amazing. Super easy to use and manage. I use them for nights on 3, 4 and 6 year olds. They can be used as a waterproof barrier for 6+year olds in the size 4-5 years (very large) over disposables or cloth nappies. I use them over the Night Weight Prefolds and Disana Tie-on nappies for my 3 and 4 year old and my one year old. I use these Disana Wool covers full time for my newborn and one year old children in conjunction with Stretchy Hemp Prefolds for day use. They are super easy, lanolising is not as daunting as it may seem. I have 9 covers in rotation at any one time due to having many multi aged kids. The only thing I recommend is using the Disana Lanolin Conditioner and getting as many bottles as possible if you are working with multiple covers. Lanolising only needs to be done monthly unless soiled. It only takes a wash and 15min soak with the Lanolin conditioner. When covers are new, it is recommended to eash prior to first use. You can use straight away but I found that the covers smelt a bit 'farmy'. Its best to wash with Sheepish Grins Lanolin Soap or Wool wash, and lanolise prior to use. Also covers need to be looked after with a pill remover occasionally when used on toddlers especially. Babies and older kids wear the covers a bit less, the pilling however does not take away from the functionality of the cover.

Bombproof beauty

These woolies are so wonderfully stretchy and bombproof! The colour range is gorgeous (we have several different colours and sizes and they're so vibrant and lovely!) These are so worth their weight in gold... being as stretchy as they are, when we have had a soiled pair and had to wear size down or size up, they have also fitted and worked just fine for backup too! A wonderful comfort knowing we won't have any leaks in this cold wintery weather and also to have extra warmth in such a layer. I'm a convert!!

Beautiful but I ruined them

I accidentally popped them in the dryer mixed up with other clothing and they shrunk to newborn sizing. My own fault
