Protects and conditions wool covers, making them waterproof and longer lasting. Disana lanolin may be used on any wool items, not just nappy covers.
Lanolin is the natural wax from sheep’s wool. This wax envelopes the wool fibres and protects the sheep from harsh weather. The Disana wool products naturally contain natural lanolin, which protects and cares for the wool fibres. Woollen products lose their natural lanolin content through washing, use and dehydration. Especially when using as a nappy cover this natural lanolin is constantly consumed and needs to be reapplied. Disana lanolin conditioner contains liquid wool wax and can be easily dissolved in warm water. After washing, the woollen cover or pants are placed in a bath of lanolin. The wool fibres can then absorb new lanolin and is waterproofed and protected from soiling and dehydration.
To Use: After washing wool item in Disana wool shampoo or wool wash soap, dissolve 2 tablespoons of lanolin conditioner in 1 litre of lukewarm water (25°C). Place woollen item(s) in the lanolin solution and wash through gently. Leave them to soak for 15 minutes or overnight. Remove excess water from wool cover by rolling it in a towel then lay flat to air dry.
